Montone is a beautiful town in the province of Perugia, recently recognized as “Uno dei Borghi più belli d’Italia” (one of the most beautiful places of Italy). Its origins date back to the Middle Age, when it belonged to the Marchesi del Colle first and the Marchesi del Monte afterwards. This place is also well-known as birthplace of the famous leader Braccio Da Montone, whose aim was to unify central Italy around XV Century.
Just 8 minutes from the historical centre of this lovely medieval hamlet, lies, on a wonderful hilly and panoramic position, this old villa of the 17th Century, belonged for over 500 years to a noble family. The property has been restored and developed many times and become a private hideout.
